DYLAN BROWN
TEAM 2034/2035 COACH

Coach Dylan Brown, a Rochester native, carries forward the proud lacrosse tradition of his hometown, West Irondequoit. Growing up immersed in the sport’s vibrant legacy, Dylan developed a lifelong passion for athletics, excelling as a multi-sport athlete in soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse during his high school years. His leadership and skill earned him captaincies, along with All-County honors and multiple Section V Championships.
Dylan continued his athletic journey at Ithaca College, where he competed in NCAA Division III Lacrosse and Club Ice Hockey. During summers, he played a pivotal role in developing young athletes by assisting with his town’s lacrosse program, working at camps, and providing private instruction to help players refine their skills and gain a competitive edge.
After graduating, Dylan began his coaching career in Duxbury, MA, achieving an impressive 15-1 record as the JV lacrosse coach and contributing to the varsity team’s state runner-up finish. More recently, he has shared his expertise as a volunteer coach with the Pittsford Mustangs, Pittsford Youth Lacrosse, and the Rochester Junior Americans, continuing to inspire the next generation of players.
Dylan’s coaching philosophy centers on developing players through the mastery of fundamental skills, a strong work ethic, and a competitive mindset. Beyond skill-building, he is deeply committed to educating players on technique, rules, and strategy while fostering mental toughness. He strives to create an environment where players not only enjoy the game but also build lasting friendships and a deeper appreciation for lacrosse. Above all, Dylan seeks to empower players to carry the lessons they learn on the field into all facets of their lives.
