Jake Coon is not just a name in the lacrosse community; he's a legend whose leadership as the RIT Men's Lacrosse Head Coach has left an indelible mark on the sport. In his 15th season with RIT, Jake has guided the Tigers to unprecedented success, including two National Championships, 14 Conference Championships, and nine Final Four appearances, cementing his status as the winningest coach in RIT program history.

Under Jake's guidance, the Tigers boasted a 21-2 record in 2023, continuing a legacy of excellence with their 11th consecutive Liberty League regular season and tournament title. His strategic mind and innovative coaching have led to a .905 winning percentage, the highest in Division III history, alongside 249 career wins. Jake's tenure has been distinguished by consistent excellence, including 13 straight NCAA Tournament appearances, 99 All-Americans, and multiple Coach of the Year honors.

Before his illustrious coaching career, Jake was a formidable force on the field. As a four-time All-American goalie at Nazareth College, his leadership helped secure a NCAA Division III title in 1997. Jake's professional career included stints with the Rochester Knighthawks, Rochester Rattlers, and Boston Cannons, further showcasing his multifaceted talent in lacrosse.

Off the field, Jake's life is rooted in Honeoye Falls, NY, where he resides with his wife Kara and their sons, Jackson and Colson. His personal journey, from a celebrated player to a visionary coach and club co-owner, is a testament to his dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to lacrosse.

At our club, Jake brings his wealth of experience, tactical knowledge, and a track record of developing young talent to his role as the 2025 Head Coach and Co-Owner.
