ADAM BAUMGArTnER

TEAM 2031 COACH

Coach Adam Baumgartner, originally from Buffalo, NY, and a graduate of Canisius High School, transitioned from hockey to lacrosse during his freshman year, quickly adapting to become a team captain and achieving 1st Team All League and Academic All American by his senior year. His lacrosse career continued at RIT as a mechanical engineering student and a walk-on player, overcoming injuries to maintain his dedication to the sport.

Adam began his coaching career by assisting a local youth team, eventually becoming a Level 3 Certified USA Lacrosse coach. He has played a pivotal role in expanding his community's lacrosse programs, particularly enhancing the girls' lacrosse program and serving on the board of his town's lacrosse program.

His coaching philosophy centers on player development, team cohesion, and enjoying the game, emphasizing the importance of adapting coaching methods to fit individual player needs and promoting a family-like team environment. Adam's coaching extends beyond technical skills, focusing on developing well-rounded individuals who embrace the core values of lacrosse.

Under his guidance, his teams have shown significant growth in skill, understanding of the game, and team spirit. Adam aims to continue fostering this development, ensuring his players are prepared for success at higher levels of lacrosse while instilling in them a lasting passion for the sport.
