Eric Goodberlet's illustrious lacrosse career is a testament to dedication, skill, and leadership. As a four-year standout midfielder for Nazareth College, Eric's impact on the field was profound and enduring. His remarkable tenure saw him named a three-time All-American, a tribute to his exceptional talent and consistent performance. As a two-year captain, Eric not only led by example but also played a pivotal role in unifying his team, guiding them through countless challenges and victories.

Amassing an impressive 153 career points, including 129 goals, Eric ranks among Nazareth’s all-time leaders, showcasing his ability to not only strategize but also execute plays with precision and power. His leadership and skill culminated in being named Division III Player of the Year and Midfielder of the Year in 2001, accolades that underscore his dominance on the lacrosse field.

Eric's contributions were instrumental in leading Nazareth to the national championship game in 1998, as well as semifinal appearances in 2000 and 2001. Under his guidance, the team boasted a remarkable four-year record of 53-8, securing four straight NCAA Tournament berths and solidifying their status as a powerhouse in college lacrosse.

In recognition of his outstanding collegiate career, Eric was selected to compete in the Division III North-South Senior All-Star Game in 2001, further highlighting his skills and contribution to the sport. After graduation, Eric transitioned from player to mentor, joining the Golden Flyers' coaching staff for the 2002 and 2003 seasons, where he continued to influence the game by developing young talent and sharing his rich knowledge and experience.

Eric's legacy was immortalized in 2010 with his induction into the Nazareth College Sports Hall of Fame, a fitting honor for a player whose career exemplifies excellence, leadership, and commitment to lacrosse. Eric Goodberlet's journey from a celebrated collegiate athlete to a revered coach underscores his enduring impact on Nazareth College lacrosse and the sport as a whole.

Eric took on the role of Assistant Varsity Coach of the Honeoye Falls-Lima boys lacrosse team in 2019. He helped lead the team to win their first Section V championship in 2021. In 2023, Eric became the Head Coach, where they went on to win their 2nd Section V championship in school history.
